Back in California at Tomales Bay for a Writing by Writers workshop–along with three friends I’ve made at this blog–Elizabeth G. Marro, Anne C., and DL Craig–such fun to see each other!
We have another outstanding cast of workshop faculty–Dorothy Allison, Steve Almond, Mark Doty, Greg Glazner, Lidia Yuknavitch and our own Pam Houston.
And for the first time since January of 2013, I’m taking a workshop–with Steve Almond. The name of the workshop is Learning to Sing on the Page: How Truth Lifts Language into Beauty.
Truth.
And not only that, it’s a generative workshop, which means we aren’t critiquing manuscripts but writing in class. I don’t write well on the spot. Everything freezes. Fear is good. Right?

Fear is GREAT! Looking forward to creating together. 🙂
Gotta go through it…
I’m glad to hear I’ll be in good company! So good to be here. I think…. 😉
Ha, Anne : )
It was really special to meet you in Tomales Bay. What a wonderful five days!
Wonderful to meet you too, Betsy!
