This is the dining room in the house where I grew up in Atlanta. You can see the breakfast room where we usually ate through the door there.
Left to right: Pop (my father’s father), my sister Suzanne, my sister Jenny, mom, dad, my grandmother Lilli, me, my grandmother Buddy. I assume my other grandfather Paw Paw is taking the photo.
On Christmas Eve we would eat in here too. At the end of the meal, my father would say, “What’s that I hear? Could it be reindeer on the roof?” And we would scurry off to bed.

Christmas memories never seem to fade!
Merry Christmas to you, Linda!
And to you also, Cynthia! Hope the New Year is your best yet!
Same to you, Linda!
Merry Christmas!! Perhaps biggest gift of all – your 2015 daily blog practice ends in 6 days. 🙂
I wish, Ben, but I didn’t start until January 13th so I still have 16 days to go… Belated birthday wishes. How was it? I was hoping for a post. And Merry Christmas to you too!
1962 was a good year!
