I’m consciously trying to add instead of divide, to be one person all the time rather than this person at home and that person in Provincetown (just for example), and I’m doing it, but clearly my preference, my inclination, is to divide. It’s the way my brain works. Or is it just habit, what I’m used to? This is another reason a journal doesn’t flow for me–although I’ve been keeping one this year. And I love the way it feels in my hands. But I want to divide it, organize it into sections. A loose leaf notebook makes more sense to me.
