When sixth grade started, I was 11 and all me, no holding back. By the time it ended, I was 12 and starting to watch the world instead of charging forth.

I love this post – and the picture is priceless! Just saw the movie “Suffragette” and was reminded just how long and how hard women have been fighting for the freedom to let our voices be heard. It seems the hardest part is always the internal prison others create for us, and we then liberally, though unconsciously, feed. Keep telling your truth. It breathes life into the Universe, and is a delight to me many days.
Marielle, I read your comment the night you left it, and I’ve read it many times since then. I so appreciate every word but especially your last two sentences. And this feels as if it should be my battle cry: Keep telling your truth. It breathes life into the Universe. I’m looking forward to Suffragette, have heard such good things about it. And the trailer’s amazing. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to respond–sometimes I feel like I just can’t fit anything else into my day. But know how much your words mean to me. xo
Great picture!
Thanks, Annabelle!
