*my healthy action today: I am not having a glass of wine.
~
And for me, it was not having that very dry martini…. 😉
As this is my birthday eve, I am reflective, more this year than most. Uppermost in my mind was how good I feel about the way I eat and live now. In both, my taste has changed drastically. Both seem to suit. It did take hard work.
Healthy action for this day: receiving a rather substantial and unexpected medical bill with curiosity rather than anxiety. I credit meditation.

Happy Birthday Eve, Karen! What wonderful feelings to take into your birthday and this new year of you.
I disagree with your healthy action. I would say that it was persevering and completing your steps. There is nothing wrong with an occasional glass of wine. I see a lot of frustration in this post. I get that you are trying to make healthy choices. But, if your focus is on all the things you can’t have, you will be doomed to failure. How did you feel after completing those final 1000 steps? Make that your focus.
And once in a while, at the end of the day, have that glass of wine. You deserve it. 🙂
I hear you, Mary. And I totally one hundred percent agree that there’s nothing wrong with a glass of wine. However, for these 30 days, I’m trying to give my body a break from alcohol, sugar, dairy, and wheat. It’s a kind of healthy re-start. Usually I can focus on how great it is that I’m doing this, but I did feel frustrated yesterday–some days it’s not as easy. But tonight it’s easier : )
HEAR… ing: YOU!
My *not-so* healthy action today:
DRINK…ing: MORE coffee… versus… Fruit Juices 🙁
Hahaha, Helena!
