I’m a fool for gadgets and technology–a fool. At the moment I’m trying out Amazon’s Echo–the voice-activated Siri-like speaker that will respond from anywhere in the room. I’m also an Appleaholic–iPhone, iPad, and Macbook. But oddly no interest in the watch. I use a Kindle sparingly–mainly for reading in bed at night and travel. As opposed to math where I have no interest or conceptual understanding, with computers and gadgets I have both. And I don’t mind working to figure stuff out because I have a certain amount of confidence that I can. Perhaps I inherited this–my father is a computer software whiz (who could also do math).
