From the moment I left for college, life felt as if it were one exciting thing after another. And I remember wondering, mid-thirties maybe, how I would feel when there wasn’t anything exciting to look forward to.

I’m an optimist, but I think there will always be something to look forward to. Even if it’s just the next book on the never-ending list of “Books to Read”!
Susan, I agree! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Please come back!
When I’m feeling as if there is nothing exciting to look forward to…
I am usually… plain tired… exhausted even… and thou I resist it…
sleep has proven… time & time again… to ease the weariness and
soothe my soul and thus, I return to life with renewed curiousity!
I agree, Helena!
Obviously I didn’t write enough in this post.. It’s funny to me that I ever thought there wouldn’t be something to look forward to. These days, I’m always looking forward to something.
Whoo Hoo!!!
Double whoo hoo!!
By now it would be redundant for me to point out (as many already have) that there is always something to look forward to, even if you have to look for it. Whether or not you anticipate the next good thing, whatever it may turn out to be, is really in your own mind.
Thanks, Nina. It’s funny that I thought it was so obvious how much I had to look forward to these days that I didn’t even need to say it!
