Pretty. I love doors, the brightly colored ones above, especially. When I walk, I often notice doors as well as interesting, oddly shaped or placed windows.
Hi Lisa! So nice to see you back here. I have a thing for windows too. I first realized how much I loved doors and windows about fifteen years ago when I came across this passage from Henri Matisse: Windows have always interested me because they are a passageway between the exterior and the interior.

Thanks for the re-blog, Adrian! I took a quick peek at some of the doors on your site and I look forward to spending more time there. Did you see the door on my About page? I found it in Sausalito several years ago: http://catchingdays.cynthianewberrymartin.com/about/
I want to open them all, but especially the last one in the series. What does that say about me?
I think the last one is my favorite too : )

Oh, I love that!

I love those Dublin doors, Darrelyn : )
Reblogged this on The Legion of Door Whores.
Oh, wonderful! I am about to join a new group with a name that will impress my teenage daughters and describe quite accurately who I am.

I love photos of doors! I notice all the intricate details of them too!
Thanks for reading, Naomi!
What a fun photo essay! Maybe one day you’ll write a short story collection about the lives behind those various closed doors.
Sarah, I’ve thought about that!
I notice doors when I travel too, and windows. And I love window boxes and other container gardens. They have so much personality! Great series.
Willow, now I will for container gardens!
I notice people, the sky, my tired reflection, and large gaps in reality where my mind was wandered off.
mulledvine, you are lucky-usually I don’t notice when my mind has wandered off : )
