I arrived on a Saturday in the rain and clouds and rough seas, loving every minute of it. On Tuesday, about 7:50 pm, I was lying on the sofa reading when I noticed something was different. It was the sun–I hadn’t seen it since I’d been there. It was coming out just in time to set. I opened my door and walked the few steps to the sand. Slowly up and down the beach, doors opened and people emerged. This is what we saw.
As the sun sets here, so does this series and the summer.

I used to do this in Beacon at the Hudson River. I just love absorbing the entire sunset. What a joy. Thanks for sharing.
Me too, Elisabeth. Thanks for your comment.
SO-O-O-O enjoyed the series, Cynthia. The sunset is a fitting end. Thanks!
I’m so glad, Debra! Thank you.
So powerful, Cynthia…
Beautiful!
Thank you, Dave and Darrelyn!
Oh, this is just lovely. It’s hard to say goodbye to the summer here in Maine–it’s cloudy and too windy today–and so a real pleasure to look at this again and again….
Thanks, Claire!
