I love your writing day. I perked right up at "Walking on Water: Reflections on Faith and Art," because Madeleine L’Engle's books helped me as a child, and then reading about her life and writing practices helped me as an adult. Thanks for reminding me. And of course I love that you write morning pages. I checked into Cynthia's blog to share your day after I finished my morning pages! I use Miguelarius notebooks as journals because they are dense enough to be able to write on both sides with a fountain pen and it doesn't show through at all. However, I dawdled too long before ordering my next batch, so I had to rush around my writing cottage and then house to see if I could dig up some ancient notebook to use as a temporary journal until the Miguel arrives. One of the notebooks had a list of articles and stories I planned to work on about thirty five years ago when I was, once again, trying to reignite my writing life amidst never-ending caring for others. So your post was synchronistic about that too. Thanks so much for sharing. What a nice way to warm my day here in snowy Washington State!
