So much YES to this! I LOVE Roxanne Gay and only just discovered her this year. She is pure authenticity. It’s taken me a long time to realize my ideas about perfection are a roadblock to progress; they prevent me from being my true self.

Love the sentiment, Cynthia. I think striving for excellence (though not in everything!) is what to shoot for since perfection is not only unattainable, but I think undesirable, too, right?
