Cynthia, this is so beautifully written. The past year I have felt much guilt for forgetting best friends’ birthdays and my own wedding anniversary. Like you, I keep reminding myself to do things one step at a time. I’ve also told friends and family not to expect much from me until I finish this book and its time-consuming proposal.

Also, I want to thank you for your lovely comment on my last blog post. I’ve draw strength from other mother’s who shared stories of letting go of their children as they head out on their own. It’s comforting to know I am not alone.
