I adore Ellen Gilchrist! I read most of her books way back in college and so rarely hear her referenced anywhere. It’s nice to read about her here. xo

I adore Ellen Gilchrist and also have read all of her books. Her book on writing, The Writing Life, sits near my computer and contains a favorite bit of advice in a letter she wrote to her students: “Go back into your lives and find the places that were charged by hope, goodness, charity, joy, intelligence, love, courage, understanding, learning, and write about those.”

Sounds like Vermont is being wonderful to you, Cynthia! You are immersed in literature – seems divine! I enjoying reading about it. I am stuck on your question in an earlier post – do I have a place that calls me back? My immediate answer was no, only moments. Yet, I realize this is not a suitable answer for me.
