Light Years by James Salter is one of my absolute favorite novels...his ability to say so much in the unspoken moves me to tears. As a painter, I often feel that which is left unsaid allows a certain ambiguity creating an opening for the viewer to enter the piece and move around in. I will certainly seek out this collection of short stories and savor every one.
